Difficult Institutional Thought is a delicately balanced assemblage of wood, clay, and paper daubed with bright spots of paint. Each element relies on the next to keep its ascending stature. The ceramic element, a hand-built staircase, is the only aspect of the work that could be damaged if the table does not hold.
